05 Jun Taylor Bank Celebrates New Cape Charles, Virginia Branch
CAPE CHARLES, VA – JUNE 2025 – Gillis Gilkerson’s President Tyler Barnes and Dwight Miller, Pre-Construction and Business Development, joined Taylor Bank officials to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening on Taylor Bank’s new full-service branch in Cape Charles, Viriginia. The Cape Charles branch constitutes the bank’s 12th full-service branch location, in addition to its recently established Loan Production Office in Salisbury, MD.
Located across from the Cape Charles Harbor and just a few blocks from the Cape Charles beachfront, the new branch will be centrally located in the heart of the Cape Charles Main Street business district, catering to the communities banking needs by offering both in-branch and digital solutions for both personal and business customers.
Taylor Bank’s Cape Charles branch features teller pods, a tech station, and customer hospitality area, as well as two drive-up lanes, including a covered drive-up ATM lane for heightened customer convenience. Construction of the bank was overseen by Dwight Miller and Gillis Gilkerson Superintendent Robert Meilhammer. Gillis Gilkerson also oversaw the ground-up construction of Taylor Bank’s full-service branch in Onley, Viriginia and renovations to its branch in Chincoteague, Virginia and headquarters in historic Berlin, Maryland.
