Gillis Gilkerson Collaborates with NAI Coastal to Bring National Auto Tenant to Salisbury

Gillis Gilkerson proudly collaborated with brokerage partner NAI Coastal to bring Meineke, a nationally recognized mechanic and auto maintenance provider, to 939 North Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury, Maryland. The longtime home of Harmon Motors underwent significant redevelopment, resulting in a transformed site that now helps to revitalize the Route 13 corridor.

“It was an incredibly rewarding experience to be involved in a project this transformational,” said Project Manager Jared King. “Seeing a completed build is always exciting, but ones like this that have undergone such extensive rehabilitation really raise the bar.” King led Gillis Gilkerson’s construction efforts with onsite management provided by Superintendent Ivan Jackson.
In order to maximize the site, Meineke worked alongside GGI’s lead developers to thoughtfully design a layout that would accommodate high vehicle volume. In addition to office space, the building features six service bays complete with roll-up doors. Boasting the latest automotive technology, Meineke’s expert technicians and mechanics are well equipped to provide top-notch repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

“Great collaborative effort was put forth by both our team and NAI Coastal,” said Tyler Barnes, President of Gillis Gilkerson. “George Merritt, Advisor with NAI, identified the property and negotiated the lease terms with Meineke. From there, he connected them with our construction team and we were able to provide the cost estimates necessary to solidify the deal.”
