Sticking Together from a Distance

Sticking Together from a Distance

We are thankful for the men and women who wake up every day and put themselves on the front lines, working hard to keep Delmarva safe despite the risks. To show our appreciation, Gillis Gilkerson took action.

In the past month, 70 meals were donated to local first responders’ courtesy of Olde Towne Café and $4,000 was donated to Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Foundation— the money will go towards feeding on-duty healthcare professionals committed to working during this difficult time. In addition to donations, Gillis Gilkerson hung ‘thank you’ banners around town as a constant visual reminder of their appreciation for PRMC healthcare providers.

“Peninsula Regional Medical Center is very grateful for the $4,000 donation from the Gillis Gilkerson team to purchase meals for our employees who are taking care of our patients,” said Denise Billing, President of the PRMC Foundation. “It means so much to them to know they are appreciated. The Medical Center is purchasing meals from local restaurants with this donation, so it helps them in this difficult time as well. The Gillis Gilkerson team has long supported the Medical Center and we are so thankful.”

Gillis Gilkerson’s commitment to the Delmarva community is more prevalent than ever. In times of need, it is important to step up and support one another. Expressing gratitude to those around us who play essential roles in our community is critical as we navigate the reality of the Coronavirus, together.
